Vote YES on 2C
for smoother roads ahead
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th
Smoother Roads for Every Neighborhood
The quality of our roads and streets are critical to the success of our neighborhoods. Are roads are what get us to work, school, friends and families, and to the outdoors. Over the last ten years, 2C has funded our city’s roads program allowing us to catch up on improving the state of our roads in Colorado Springs. Now, the original 2C sales tax sunsetting, it’s time to ask residents to continue this critical program.
Without raising taxes, this November we can extend our roads improvement program for another ten years.
Prior to 2C first passing in 2015, over 70% of our streets and roads in Colorado Springs were graded in “poor” condition. Fast forward ten years we’ve paved over 1,700 lane miles of road and 50% of our roads and streets are in “good” condition while vehicle damage claims have dropped by almost 80% and pothole complaints have dropped by over 35%.
2C has been essential to keeping our families moving across Colorado Springs and improving the quality of our roads in town.
With your vote, 2C will be extended for another 10 years with our work pivoting to the roads you know best, your neighborhood streets.
What’s next for 2C?
Where we started
To this point, 2C has focused on our arterial roads. These are the main connector roads in Colorado Springs that allow us to effectively move from one part of the city to the next. Think roads like Powers, Garden of the Gods, Union, and (insert here).
Where we're needed
Now, we will shift our focus to the streets and roads you know best. Your neighborhood roads. With your vote on 2C, the next phase of our road improvement program will make sure that every neighborhood in Colorado Springs has improved roads right outside your front door.
We need your support
Remember, your yes vote on 2C will not raise our sales tax one bit, but will simply allow for us to continue investing in our city’s roads at the same tax rate as today.

When and how do I vote for 2C?
During the August 13th City Council meeting, the Colorado Springs City Council referred 2C to the November 5th, 2024 ballot. This means you can vote to continue 2C during this November’s presidential election.
Your ballot will be mailed on October 12th and you should receive it by the end of the following week. Local issues are usually towards the end of your ballot, so you will want to look towards the last couple pages of your ballot to find 2C and vote YES.
